What Should a Freight RFP Include?

A freight RFP should give transportation providers enough information to understand the lanes, freight, equipment requirements, shipment volume, operating conditions, and service expectations they are being asked to support. Useful information can include origins and destinations, expected shipment frequency, equipment type, average weight, pickup and delivery schedules, facility hours, appointment requirements, seasonal volume changes, accessorial needs, tracking expectations, and performance requirements.
